The road has been divided into separate lanes for a reason. It’s so that vehicles can be side by side with each other to help reduce congestion and allow road users to go in different directions.

The time that you will notice poor lane discipline is when you are correctly driving completely within your lane and the driver beside or ahead of you isn’t causing you not to be able to continue safely in your lane, and thus heeding your progress.
