JUNCTIONS – ROAD POSITIONING

Road positioning when intending to turn left or right. Position your car as though the indicators aren’t working, so that others can work out which way you intend to turn by your road position. We can hear the indicators and see the green flashing light, but can’t be absolutely sure that they’re working and being seen by others. Think of the most stupid person you know, – you know the one, who always gets hold of the wrong end of the stick or appears to deliberately misunderstand – you’re signalling and positioning your car so that even that person would know exactly where you are intending to go.
