When waiting to emerge from a side road don’t spend more than 2 seconds looking in any one direction, to keep yourself up to date with the current situation and then you will

be ready to move off when it is safe. Move your head from side to side like windscreen wipers. Your brain is very clever, when you look one way and then turn your head to look in the other direction, your brain will already be processing what you last saw, the same when you look back in the original direction. Don’t under estimate the power of the brain.
