DRIVING TEST- DON’T LET ANYONE STEAL YOUR LICENCE
When on your driving test don’t let others put you off. If you do this could cost you around ┬ú400….it will cost the other driver precisely NOTHING at all!
The one who ‘makes you fail’ is the one you didn’t notice, or ignored.
Be determined that NO-ONE is going to make you fail, so you are going to be very observant of EVERYONE all round your vehicle at ALL times!
Don’t feel rushed or panicked by anyone. If you rush or panic you are much more likely to make mistakes or cause problems for others.
Our roads are crowded and there will be some drivers who are running late and not allowed themselves enough time to get to their destination or perhaps on a final warning at work and risk losing their job. None of this is your problem. Be calm and patient, be prepared to wait at junctions or roundabouts and certainly DO NOT put a time-limit on how long that you have needed to wait.
Whilst doing a manoeuvre, don’t be put off by a driver, or perhaps a few drivers who are waiting for you to complete your manoeuvre. They too had to take their driving test and also had to go through the same thing. Many drivers are content to wait for you to complete your manoeuvre in your own time. Any driver who gets impatient with you is sadly lacking in some area of their life and perhaps doesn’t deserve to have a driving licence, there again, some may be driving illegally and shouldn’t actually be driving on the road at all, let alone hassle you.
So remember that if you do allow someone to make you fail your driving test it is going to cost you in the region of £200-£400 (depending on how much you pay for your driving lessons). If you fail your driving test it will cost you another £62 plus normally a 2-hour booking slot with your driving instructor on the day of your test, so that is already over £100+. On top of that you will probably need to take more driving lessons to keep your continuity, and depending on the waiting list at your local driving test centre perhaps several lessons more.
